Antic Jacks 3 into the Stands Thursday, May 9th , 2019 Sonoma Scorpions bombardier Tom Antic set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 6-2 win over the Myrtle Beach Sharks today. "I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Antic told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it." For the game, the Sonoma first baseman had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 3 runs. Tom Antic hit a three-run home run off Tom Parks in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tom Parks in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Cardona in the 8th. So far this season Antic is hitting .213 with 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 23 hits in 108 at-bats and a .320 OBP. |
