Cornwall Wins League Championship Series Wednesday, September 30th , 2026 The championship dreams are still alive for the Cornwall Royals, while it's back to the drawing board for the Augusta Capitols. By a score of 6-0, Cornwall won the decisive game at King George Park today. The Royals took the series 4-2. Willie Rodriguez of the Royals was named the League Championship Series MVP. "All our guys are really focused winning the World Series," Rodriguez said. "I'm not too concerned about personal awards." The Cornwall Royals will play against the Winchester Mountaineers in the next round. Winchester won their series against the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers 4 games to 0.
