Scorpions Aguiluz Gone for Year

The season is finished for Mario Aguiluz of the Sonoma Scorpions. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Scorpions shortstop suffered a torn labrum while colliding with a player at a base in a recent game against the Vail Tigercats. Team doctors said it would take at least 8 months to heal.
So far this season, Aguiluz has gotten 42 hits in 197 at-bats for a .213 batting average with 2 home runs. His stats include 15 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 54 games.
