Josh Alcorn Named W-AA's Best Player

The future looks extremely bright for Josh Alcorn. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in ABA Double A.
Alcorn has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Western AA Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .344 this year, that's for sure," the third baseman said.
The Augusta Capitols star also put up a .406 on-base percentage this year, with 147 hits, 28 doubles, 3 triples, 25 home runs, 81 RBIs and 70 runs scored.
He received 21 first place votes out of a possible 24. Pete Roan of the Augusta Capitols finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Jason Finch of the Sonoma Scorpions finished third.
