W-AA Announces Pitcher of the Year Award Saturday, October 21st , 2023 Jose Perez was overpowering this season for the Cincinnati Bombardiers and earned the 2023 Western AA Pitcher of the Year Award for his efforts. In a standout year he went 17-6 in 28 starts with 184 strikeouts in 214 innings and a 2.02 ERA. He received 21 first place votes out of a possible 24. Jesus Garcia of the Hamilton Bulldogs finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Branden Covington of the Hamilton Bulldogs finished third with 2 first place votes.
