Slagle Week's Best in E-AA Monday, August 31st , 2026 Traverse City fans have something to crow about today as Traverse City first baseman Trent Slagle nabbed the Eastern AA Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Slagle. He posted a .364 average (8-for-22) this past week with 5 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. Slagle is hitting .244 this year with 19 home runs and 41 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .357, 26 walks and scored 35 times. |
