Weatherhead Raps 3 HR Against Millionaires Thursday, August 20th , 2026 Noel Weatherhead was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 9-4 Traverse City Bears triumph at Greensboro Grounds. The 26-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Bears past the Alcoa Millionaires. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Weatherhead told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The first baseman went 4-for-4, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Noel Weatherhead hit a two-run home run off Omar Vega in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Israel Beristain in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Gabe Mondragon in the 8th. This season, Weatherhead is swinging the bat at a .319 rate with 61 hits in 191 at-bats. To date he has hit 15 home runs, scored 29 runs and driven in 34. |
