Traverse City-Alcoa Brawl, Slagle and Vega Suspended
Thursday, August 20th , 2026
Trent Slagle of the Traverse City Bears and Omar Vega of the Alcoa Millionaires will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 3 and 7 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Bears-Millionaires game at Greensboro Grounds.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Slagle and Vega will begin serving them soon.

This year, Slagle is hitting .230 with 14 home runs and 32 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .348 clip and scored 28 runs.

To this point in the season, Vega shows a 2-14 record, 48 starts, 158 innings, 82 strikeouts and a 7.69 ERA.
