Traverse City Bears Mathematically Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 16th , 2026 It has been a woeful season for the Traverse City Bears and now they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. "You always need some things to break your way to get into the playoffs," said manager Jeff Lacher. "And nothing broke our way this year." The Bears have missed the playoffs 15 times in their 27 years as a ABA Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 8th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2018. In the last 10 seasons, the Bears have made the playoffs 4 times. |
