Carroll Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Thursday, August 13th , 2026 Billy Carroll has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 23-year-old Winchester Mountaineers designated hitter extended his streak to 20 games, going 2-for-5 as Winchester got the best of the Traverse City Bears at Greensboro Grounds, 8-1. "Billy has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Mountaineers manager Mitchell Young said. Billy Carroll hit a two-run home run off Chris Lockner in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this year, Carroll has 30 home runs and a .319 batting average. |
