Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Traverse City Friday, July 26th , 2024 In the middle of a disastrous season, it would be understandable if Traverse City Bears fans had already started to turn their attention to next year. Doubly so as of today, as the Bears have now been officially eliminated from playoff contention. The Bears have missed the playoffs 13 times in their 25 years as a ABA Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 6th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2018. In the last 10 seasons, the Bears have missed the playoffs 5 times. Traverse City last won the World Series in 2016. |
