Cornwall-St. Louis Fight Results in Suspensions Tuesday, July 28th , 2026 After an intense confrontation, both the Royals Leo Cortez and the Cavalry Adam Appelbaum were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Cornwall-St. Louis game. Leo Cortez will miss 3 games, while Adam Appelbaum was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Leo Cortez commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In 85 games this season, Cortez has batted at a .278 pace with 86 hits and 13 home runs. This year, Appelbaum has worked 70 innings with 70 strikeouts en route to a 2-3 record and a 5.01 ERA. |
