Eastern AA Names League's Best

Humberto Castano took ABA Double A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25.
For his spectacular campaign, the Mobile Yard Dogs star has been named the 2022 Eastern AA Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder.
On the season he compiled a .305 batting average to go with a .387 on-base percentage. The native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic also added 30 doubles, 7 triples, 28 home runs, 79 RBIs and 106 runs scored.
He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ryan Burchett of the Winchester Mountaineers finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Joe Martin of the Winchester Mountaineers finished third with 5 first place votes.
