Vinny Ceja was dominant and cool under pressure this year, and his standout performance has earned the Vail Tigercats reliever recognition as the 2020 Western AA Reliever of the Year Award.

"I was just doing my job, and my job is to get people out," said the 22-year-old out of Paso Robles, California.

The award winner made 60 relief appearances this year and had 7 saves. He fanned 81 batters in 78.1 innings, with 17 walks. He pitched to a record of 5 wins and 7 losses to go with his 1.95 ERA.

He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 24. Casey Levy of the Stockton Ragin Cajuns finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Greg Brittingham of the Miami Boll Weevils finished third with 3 first place votes.
