Collins Gets Award for Relief Work Monday, October 17th , 2022 He may only be 24, but Rick Collins of the Stockton Ragin Cajuns has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Western AA. The reliever was today named the W-AA Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2022. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 3 saves in 48 relief appearances and 90 strikeouts in 108.1 innings. He had a record of 6-4 to go with his 1.25 ERA. He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 24. Dave Combs of the Hamilton Bulldogs finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Chris Porter of the Cornwall Royals finished third.
