Macrina Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Friday, July 10th , 2026 The Riverside Rotters may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 8-3, to the Traverse City Bears, but Kyle Macrina continued to hit like a god. The third baseman collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Macrina is playing great and is on fire right now," Rotters manager Adrian Mercado said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Macrina was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Kyle Macrina hit a solo-shot off Rich Pumphrey in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. This season, Macrina has hit at a .249 clip with 62 RBIs, 23 home runs and 49 runs scored. |
