Red-Hot July Lands Villanueva Batting Prize in E-AA Tuesday, August 1st , 2023 For a rookie just breaking in, David Villanueva certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the E-AA Batter of the Month award for July. The 22-year-old left fielder for the Boise Dread Kings hit .323 with 15 home runs, 28 RBIs and 24 runs scored. So far this season, Villanueva is batting .280 with 24 home runs, 52 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 53 hits in 189 at-bats, 36 walks and a .399 OBP. Villanueva has played in 52 games. |
