Doctors in Sonoma said Cesar Chairez might not play anymore this year. The Scorpions starting pitcher suffered a torn meniscus during a game against the Augusta Capitols and will be out for at least 4 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.
This year in 28 starts, Chairez has recorded 18 wins and absorbed 5 losses. He has pitched 175 innings, allowed 128 hits, struck out 169 and has a 2.31 ERA.
