Bob de Leon discovered that today at Rotters Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 7-1 Riverside Rotters win over the Rohnert Park Cougars. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Riverside third baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." de Leon, who is tied for 4th in the E-AA in stolen bases with 13, finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs. Bob de Leon grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jason Thompson in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Todd Lukac in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Mike Garcia in the 8th. Thus far this year, de Leon has hit .325 with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs. |
