London's Gross Sidelined for Season Monday, August 29th , 2022 London starting pitcher Travis Gross suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Bulldogs. According to club doctors Gross has a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Although Gross has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. So far this year, Gross has made 10 starts, tossed 65.1 innings, struck out 50 batters and walked 17. His record is 3-5 with a 4.55 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .264 batting average. |
