Title Captured - Western AA Coastal Division Won by Augusta Thursday, August 25th , 2022 Those expecting a dogfight in the Western AA Coastal Division this year got quite the opposite - an early, easy division crown for the Augusta Capitols. "When you look at how far we are ahead, it might look like it was an easy year, but it didn't feel that way for us," said reliever Brian Treadway. "A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into putting us here." With a current record of 82-45, the Capitols can no longer be caught, cinching up a 10th division title for the franchise. Team manager Chris Clarke said the club will "take some time to celebrate" the division title, but then "it's right back to work." |
