Boll Weevils Hammond Out Rest Of Season Thursday, August 18th , 2022 Mike Hammond will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Miami starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Hammond was injured while throwing a pitch in the Boll Weevils-Tigercats clash at Vail Grounds recently. Doctors said he has a torn rotator cuff and would be out a minimum of 4 months. Checking out his stats for the season, Hammond has registered 5 wins and 1 loss in 11 starts, posted a 2.47 ERA, and struck out 55 batters in 58.1 innings. |
