They came up empty when it mattered against Riverside Rotters right-hander Chase Lovett, who scattered 4 hits across 9 innings and held the Bears scoreless. "We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Traverse City manager Zach Hildebrant said later. Lovett chalked up 11 strikeouts and no walks in the 17-0 Rotters win.
