Mejia Strokes 3 HR Against Stockton
Friday, August 7th , 2020
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Angelo Mejia did today at Ballpark of Cincinnati, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 10-1.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Mejia said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Cincinnati Bombardiers first baseman blistered the Stockton Ragin Cajuns for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Angelo Mejia hit a solo-shot off Enrique Perez in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Robert Garcia in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Robert Garcia in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.
Mejia on the season is batting .274 with 20 home runs. His totals include 56 RBIs and 66 runs scored. He has played in 107 games.
