Anderson Belts 3 HRs Saturday, May 25th , 2024 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Boise Dread Kings. Riverside first baseman Matt Anderson tripled up on the home runs to propel the Rotters to a win, 8-7, at Ballpark of Boise. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Boise manager Sean Drummond said. "Anderson hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Anderson collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Matt Anderson was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Gilmore in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Gilmore in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Robert Velasquez in the 10th. Anderson is currently batting .369 with 17 home runs, 39 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 59 hits in 160 at-bats. |
