Hialeah Firecats Mathematically Out of Playoffs Friday, August 12th , 2022 After a tough year, the Hialeah Firecats have been the butt of jokes around many water coolers in the Hialeah area. There will be some new fodder for jaded fans to discuss now -- the club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Firecats have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 23 years as a ABA Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 9th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2013. In the last 10 seasons, the Firecats have only made the playoffs once. |
