Ruiz Powers 3 HR Against Traverse City Thursday, May 23rd , 2024 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Greensboro Grounds buzzing, Encinitas Eskimo Brothers first baseman Rich Ruiz blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 26-15, over the Traverse City Bears. "Everything was clicking," Ruiz told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Ruiz shined brilliantly in the win, with 5 hits in 7 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Eskimo Brothers manager Logan Greening said. "Rich played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Rich Ruiz hit a solo-shot off Bernado Marcelo in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bernado Marcelo in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. To date, Ruiz has collected 35 hits for a .354 average. He has posted 9 home runs, scored 33 runs and driven in 29 runs. |
