25-Game Hitting Streak for Willingham Thursday, June 11th , 2026 Damian Willingham, first baseman for the Mescalero Chiefs, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 1 hit in his club's 6-3 victory over the Traverse City Bears at Chiefs Ballpark. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Damian Willingham flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. Willingham is batting .376 this year with 7 home runs, 30 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 79 hits in 210 at-bats. |
