Star of the Week Honored in E-AA Monday, May 20th , 2024 Fresno fans have something to crow about today as Fresno catcher Clay Tucker nabbed the Eastern AA Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Tucker. He posted a .647 average (11-for-17) this past week with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs, and 8 runs scored. In 29 games this season, Tucker is batting .365 with 46 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 31 runs and driven in 22. |
