Aurora Snaps Bell Streak at 20
Sunday, May 12th , 2024
It was a doubly miserable day for Pat Bell of the Traverse City Bears, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 13-3, to the Aurora Suns at Suns Field. The 23-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Suns.
"Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Aurora manager Arturo Colon said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."
For the season, Bell has produced 55 hits in 140 at-bats for a .393 average with 15 home runs and gotten on base at a .466 clip.
