E-AA Announces August's Best Starter Wednesday, September 1st , 2021 This month the Eastern AA spotlight fell on pitcher Jimmy Cowan of the Mobile Yard Dogs. What a August he had! A fine 6-0 won-lost record, 1.30 ERA, 6 starts, 41.2 innings pitched and 33 strikeouts -- good enough to get him the E-AA Pitcher of the Month. This season, Cowan has a 14-2 mark in 21 starts with a 1.33 ERA. He has given up 99 hits in 128.2 innings, struck out 117 and issued 39 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .210 batting average against him. |
