Cason 5-for-5 Against Bulldogs Saturday, August 17th , 2019 Ian Cason was sizzling at the plate today. The Augusta center fielder blistered the Hamilton Bulldogs for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to a 5-2 defeat. "Cason was too tough to get out today," Bulldogs skipper Armando Cisneros said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win." Ian Cason singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season in 113 games, Cason has hit at a .267 clip with 123 hits, 1 home run, 38 RBIs and 68 runs scored. |
