Winchester Dazed, Arechiga Gets No-Hitter Tuesday, August 24th , 2021 Excitement reigned at Mountaineers Park as Libertyville Polecats hurler Jesus Arechiga tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the Winchester Mountaineers, 1-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Arechiga said. "Today I just went right at the Mountaineers as hard as I could, as long as I could." Arechiga, who is tied for 10th in the E-AA in complete games with 1, chalked up 8 strikeouts and allowed 3 walks in his superb performance. "I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Libertyville manager Justin Thiede. This year, Arechiga has made 5 relief appearances with 1 save.
