Smith Strokes 5 Hits Thursday, August 15th , 2019 Paul Smith did a number on the Running Rebels in the Traverse City 10-2 victory today, and the number was 5. The Bears right fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Running Rebels Ballpark to lead his club past the Fresno Running Rebels. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Paul Smith singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season Smith has hit at a .267 clip and produced 38 runs batted in, 8 home runs and 46 runs. |
