Year Over for Royals Peters
Tuesday, August 17th , 2021
Doctors in Cornwall said Steve Peters might not play anymore this year. The Royals starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament during a game against the St. Louis Cavalry and will be out for at least 9-10 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.
On the season, Peters has compiled a 0-1 mark with a 4.70 ERA in 4 starts. In pitching 67 innings he has 75 strikeouts and 34 walks while limiting the opposition to a .270 batting average.
