Mark Williams Sidelined for Season Sunday, June 25th , 2023 The doctors have spoken and Mark Williams of the Vermont Milkmen didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Williams sustained his season-ending injury during the Hamilton Bulldogs game yesterday at Emeralds Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Vermont medical staff reported Williams had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. This year, his stats show Williams has no saves in 30 relief appearances with a 3-0 record and 2.56 ERA. |
