E-AA's Best Player, Zander of Mesa Monday, August 16th , 2021 Neil Zander demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Eastern AA Player of the Week Award. The Mesa second baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .435 average (10-for-23) with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This year, Zander is batting .278 with 67 hits and 14 home runs. He has scored 44 times and has batted in 38 runs. |
