Swing! Swang! Swung! Custis Smashes 3 HR Wednesday, June 4th , 2025 Today was a special one for Sean Custis of the Hamilton Bulldogs as he slammed three home runs in the 10-4 Bulldogs win over the Miami Boll Weevils. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Hamilton catcher collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 4 runs in the contest at Ballpark of Miami. Sean Custis singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Mitsukuni Kishi in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Lee Waters in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Mike Brandon in the 7th. This season, Custis is swinging the bat at a .352 rate with 25 hits in 71 at-bats. To date he has hit 8 home runs, scored 17 runs and driven in 18. |
