Cryin' Time: Garcia Retiring Wednesday, June 23rd , 2021 Bill Garcia announced his retirement today according to sources inside the Mobile Yard Dogs organization. Garcia, who is 37 years old, gave reporters some of his plans for the near future. "I'm going to do a lot of hunting and fishing," he said. "I've always been focused on getting ready for the next season, so maybe now I can slow down and enjoy time away from it all." Garcia went back and forth with the press in a friendly manner during his press conference. "I'm sure there's a small-mouth bass out there with my name on it," he said. During his career, Garcia has chalked up 1581 hits and a .253 average with 91 home runs and 588 RBIs. |
