London Blanks Milkmen, Baker Wins
Monday, June 21st , 2021
All went well for Justin Baker of the London Tigers as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 17-0, over the Vermont Milkmen, limiting them to 4 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Baker on the day.
"Justin's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Tigers manager Jose Torres. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the London left-hander rang up 12 and surrendered 2 walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Milkmen manager Mike Barriga. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
This season, Baker has 1 win and 2 losses and a 2.63 ERA.
