Bob Gilmore Rockets 3 Home Runs Thursday, May 16th , 2019 Bob Gilmore brutalized the Stockton Ragin Cajuns pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 8-3 victory at Ballpark of Stockton. The Cincinnati Bombardiers first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Bob Gilmore today," Ragin Cajuns manager Kyle Kinkead said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Bob Gilmore hit a solo-shot off Enrique Perez in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Aaron Aaron in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Robert Garcia in the 7th. Currently Gilmore is batting .315 with 14 home runs, 29 RBIs and 30 runs scored. |
