Plott Super -- No-Hits Alcoa
Tuesday, May 11th , 2021
In a dominant outing, Jake Plott of the Aurora Suns totally silenced the bats of the Alcoa Millionaires, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 3-0 victory, Plott faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 6 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Aurora manager Oscar Figeroa said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
"The Suns had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Plott pitched a heck of a ballgame."
His record for the year is 4-1 in 6 starts and Plott has a 1.52 ERA.
