AC's Best Player Named Monday, June 20th , 2022 Carlos Barreto demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the American Conference Player of the Week Award. The Philadelphia center fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .450 average (9-for-20) with 4 home runs and 11 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This season, Barreto has banged out 53 hits in 245 at-bats for a .216 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .320 pace and his totals also include 39 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
