Howard Injured During Conditioning Drills Friday, April 19th , 2024 San Diego center fielder Gabe Howard will likely miss the remainder of spring training and could miss the start of the regular season after suffering an injury while participating in team conditioning drills. "You could tell he was in absolute agony after it happened," said teammate Bobby Corbo. "We were doing some stretches and next thing I know, Gabe is lying there writhing on the ground. You could tell he was in excruciating pain." After being examined by the team medical staff and undergoing tests, it was determined that Howard had suffered a torn hip flexor tendor. |
