Sheedy Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Friday, April 12th , 2024 Dustin Sheedy, third baseman for the Carolina Reapers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 2-1 victory over the Charleston Sea Dogs at Reedy River Stadium. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Dustin Sheedy grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. At present, Sheedy is batting .385 with 20 hits and 3 home runs.
