Maine's Velasquez to Miss Season Friday, May 10th , 2019 The Maine Pines and their fans were rocked today by the news that star starting pitcher Roberto Velasquez would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Velasquez was hurt in a recent game against the Philadelphia Marauders while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was shoulder inflammation. His doctors think that Velasquez will miss about 7-8 months. For the year Velasquez has compiled a 3-2 record with a 2.98 ERA. |
