He easily handled Heathens pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Invaders triumph, 7-6, at Estadio Azteca. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Brewer's quip, Heathens skipper David Morris said he "would take him up on that next time." Eric Brewer hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jose Ojeda in the 9th.
