Callahan Crushes 3 Homers Against Toronto

It was a terrific day for Ben Callahan, who ripped three home runs at Nightmare Stadium, and a disappointing one for the New York Nightmare who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 6-3, to the Toronto Trash Pandas.
"He was instant offense," New York skipper Joey Bishop said. "Ben really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game."
For the day, Callahan collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs.
In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Nightmare Stadium.
"I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said.
Ben Callahan hit a solo-shot off Winston Caballero in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Winston Caballero in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Winston Caballero in the 8th.
Callahan is hitting .228 so far this season with 13 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 18 hits including 8 home runs, 14 walks and .344 OBP.
