Hit Streak for Ulmer Reaches 20 Friday, March 31st , 2023 With 1 hit at Ballpark of Charleston, Richard Ulmer added another game to his hitting streak -- the Vancouver first baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Mounties, as they fell, 6-4, to the Charleston Shiners. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Charleston manager Chad Hart said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Richard Ulmer grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th. |
