Reinertsen Belts Bunch of Base Hits Sunday, April 24th , 2022 The Daytona Beach Sea Turtles stopped the Oakland Invaders by a score of 10-7 at Leatherback Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Russ Reinertsen. The 23-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Reinertsen said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Reinertsen did just that in his 8 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Invaders. "Not much that I can say," offered Oakland manager Tyrone Hairston. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Russ Reinertsen singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Alfredo Tiscareno in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 8th, flied out in the 10th, singled in the 13th, grounded out in the 15th and doubled in the 18th.
